A session together

Before

It’s helpful to set a personal intention for the session. Whether it’s emotional healing, stress relief, or physical pain reduction, having a clear focus can help guide the energy during the session.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing to allow for relaxation. Drink plenty of water. Approach the session with an open mind. Release rigid expectations. Every experience is different. If you have scheduled a Zoom session, ensure you have downloaded Zoom prior and have a good internet connection. If we are doing an astrology/ human design reading, your birth time and location will be requested before the session.

During

At the start of our session, we’ll take a few minutes to talk about any concerns or areas you'd like to focus on. Mental health therapy is primarily talk therapy with somatic work woven in. A human design/ astrological reading is a solution-focused interpretation of your birth chart with less back and forth than a mental health therapy session.

If we are doing a Reiki session, some common experiences include: Drifting into sleep, experiencing emotional releases, feeling warm or cold sensations, and experiencing waves of energy. Some people feel a sense of bliss, others might experience mental clarity and deep relaxation while others might feel nothing at all. All of these sensations experienced during Reiki are mild and very normal experiences. If you are sensitive to energy, you may notice the effects more strongly.

After the session, I will give you time to slowly come back to full awareness. You may feel very relaxed and need a few moments to ground yourself before getting up. We will conclude the session with a check-in and reflection for you to share your experiences or ask questions.

With Reiki, some people experience profound emotional or physical shifts after a session. Others report feeling lighter, more relaxed, or more grounded. Others may feel tired or more introspective as their body continues to process the energy. Reiki continues to work for several days after the session. You may notice subtle changes in your mood, thoughts, or energy levels over time. Pay attention to how you feel and allow yourself space to integrate these shifts.

After a Human Design reading, you can expect a deep sense of clarity and relief, as long-standing patterns and challenges finally make sense. You’ll gain permission to follow your natural rhythm, confidence in your decisions, and practical insight into how your energy interacts with others. Many people leave feeling lighter, more aligned, and empowered, with a clear sense of direction and tools to navigate life with ease and self-trust.

After a therapy session, you will often feel heard, understood, and supported, with space to process emotions safely. You may experience relief, emotional release, and a clearer perspective on challenges, along with practical tools to cope or make decisions. I hope that you leave the session feeling lighter, more grounded, and empowered to take intentional steps toward well-being and balance.
